Planned Village-wide Power Outage

Dear Churchville Municipal Electric Customer,

We have been notified that the incoming electric line supplying the Village of Churchville Substation will be taken out of service for necessary repairs.  This outage is expected to be for a duration of approximately 8 hours on ONE day between June 11^th through the 17^th, 2023.  The date is dependent on coordination with CSX, as the repairs are near the railroad tracks.  Please check our website (www.churchville.net) regularly as the final date of the outage will be posted as soon as we are informed.

During this outage, the Village of Churchville, along with other neighboring electric crews, will be doing maintenance on our electric system to keep our electric as reliable as possible and minimize disruption.

Please take time to review the following information:

• In case of emergency during the outage, dial 9-1-1.
• Emergency personnel have been notified and remain available for emergency needs.
• Test generators and connections prior to the scheduled outage.
• Customers with medical needs should make alternate plans for the outage.
• The village office is working on a staffing plan for the outage. Details will be posted on the village website once finalized.
• Please attend to electrically dependent appliances such as garage door openers, fish tanks, security systems, sump pumps etc.
• We ask that all customers review your individual needs and respond appropriately prior to the outage.

Every effort will be made to minimize the duration of the outage. During the outage, check the village website for updates on expected completion time. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
